It is natural that one learns to live with what is around. We get used to the life around. We also carry on relating to the activities that goes on around us. Our surroundings have been transformed over the years with the application of science and technology, and the notions of progress and development. Along with imagination, life has rapidly transformed. At the same time, we have also modified the environment, often devastating what nature provided. In the pursuit of growth, life in the cities have sprung up and grown haphazardly. Life in the cities has become fast paced. We have very little time to pause and reflect.

Each summer lots of people do like something interesting: camping. This is a great activity to be done with friends, family and relatives. It can be done on a single day or even the whole summer period. Since my childhood, I have been an avid camper. I started then going on some trips with my parents and years later with my friends.

Amongst recreational activities, camping takes a unique place. A popular leisure time activity, camping has come to be known for its thrill as an adventure sport and recreation. Modern tourism does offer you packaged expensive and sophisticated eco-tourism, adventure tourism and nature tourism. The living comforts are provided by the expensive cabins, hotels or resorts. Compared to this, camping is immensely cheap and exciting. Camping out for a few days and nights mean that one roughs it out with the elements of nature. There are numerous publicly or privately maintained camp sites and nature trails. Campers may live in a tent or crude structure or even out in the open without any shelter. The camping tent can be of various sizes, heavy or light.

The world has been experiencing a steady increase in temperature. The rate of this increase too is steadily increasing. Ecosystems adjust to these changes. A habitat that suits a species no longer is suitable to them. They have no other choice except to search for other favorable habitats or perish. The melting of polar ice caps is going to make it difficult for them to hunt the seals. The trout and salmon will no longer find the wetlands and freshwater able to provide them with food.
